Dust collection can be an art and a foundational principle is more flow, more dust removal. Larger machines such as drum sanders and planers require large volume flow but their 5 in ports are often reduced to common 4 in duct. We've made these adapters in house to allow 5 in ports to connect to standard 6 in flexible tubing. This Acres Wild Studio design features an outside ridge to secure tubing and a tapered inside to create a tight fitment. All fittings are precision 3d printed in a climate controlled setting.
